Myzone was present at the largest ever ukactive Awards ceremony which took place at Manchester Central, on the 6th of June. The very best of the physical activity sector gathered to celebrate the award winners across 23 diverse categories. Myzone was proud to support and cheer for the winners that have already implemented Myzone within their facilities.
We were happy to see that numerous of the winning clubs have opted to partner with Myzone in helping their facilities to deliver more. Each of the award finalists underwent rigorous independent assessments designed to select only the best in each category, from hundreds of entrants. The evaluation process was a tough one, including customer insight surveys, mystery calls, and visits.
The ukactive Awards 2019 included several new award categories, and the incorporation of the Active Training Awards turned into an expanded ceremony, so that every aspect of this ever growing sector was effectively covered.
The award for the National Leisure Centre of 2019 was won by onePT, a Rochdale based gym and personal training facility. Over 800 guests were present when Olympic gold medallist, Joana Rowsell, and physical expert, Greg Whyte, presented the award.
Edinburgh Leisure, Drumbrae Leisure Centre (Scotland) and Serco Leisure, Oak Tree Leisure Centre (Midlands), both Myzone facilities, were two of the main winners for the Regional club/Centre of the Year. The Inclusion and Disability Award was won by Active Tameside, which is another Myzone advocate, while Gladstone trusted partner and Myzone user, proudly took home the Workplace Wellbeing Programme of the Year.
Myzone Global Marketing Director, Gemma Bonnett-Kolakowska highlighted: ‘’ It was definitely a very rewarding night for Myzone as we have not only witnessed our brilliant Myzone clubs winning, but we saw some fantastic examples of extraordinary results with Myzone ‘’
Active IQ Managing Director, Jenny Patrickson said: “The ukactive Awards represents a truly wonderful opportunity to reflect on what we do so well as a sector, and to celebrate those who are leading the way.’’
We’re looking forward to next year’s ceremony and we’re congratulating not just the fantastic winners, but the entrants and finalists who are great examples of commitment and hard work.
