Kuala Lumpur played host to a new competition – the REDLINE Fitness Games Powered by Nissan, with 1200 fitness aficionados putting in the effort and pushing their limits.
Across 12 gruelling workout stations, internationally renowned athletes graced the invitationals, exhibiting awe-inspiring strength, determination, and rewarding every effort with Myzone heart rate monitors.
The REDLINE workouts
Participants in the REDLINE Fitness Games worked through 12 functional stations that tested their cardio, strength, endurance, power, agility, balance, coordination, and flexibility. The competition stations consist of:
- 400m run
- Bike
- Sandbag gauntlet (squats and lunges)
- Battle rope pull
- Farmer’s carry
- Row
- Dead ball burpees
- Sled push
- Pendulum shots
- Agility chamber
- Ski ERG
- The mule
Inspiration from perspiration
“It was inspiring to see so many fitness enthusiasts gathered under one roof, challenging each other,” explains REDLINE’s events director, Mr. Callum Meehan.
“Amid the sweat and perseverance, their unwavering determination and infectious passion were truly motivational.
“I am also inspired by the overwhelming response that we have received for this event, which not only contributed to its success, but also provided the momentum for similar events in future.
“This is the first time such an event is being held in Malaysia, and we can certainly see by the level of participation and enthusiasm that such events are in high demand.”
Team Myzone member Marcus Funken, Christoph Lex, and Gabriel Heck dominated the Men’s Singles, while Mirjam Von Rohr, Petra Arvela, and Elizabeth May emerged victorious in the Women’s Singles.
